In 2003 approximately 4 million Americans reported to have used heroin at some point in their life and heroin accounted for 14% of all drug related emergency room visits. Harm Reduction in Heroin Use is a series of fact sheets that provide information to users on how to minimize the harmful effects of heroin while using.
